J.Cole continues to roll out promotion of his stellar Born Sinner LP by unveiling the music video for Crooked Smile. The song, which borrows lovely vocals from the talented TLC, shows empathy for the way women are objectified in society. The song, while important, plays the background to a larger story of separation painted by director Sheldon Candis. For a refreshing turn in rap videos, the mini-film ties in nicely with themes presented in the album, specifically the conundrum of ‘sinning for good’. Tying it all together is an ending homage to Aiyana Stanley Jones, a 7 year-old girl killed during a police raid in Detroit. Enjoy the powerful visuals here, and be sure to catch Born Sinner on iTunes ($14 USD) now.

With the long-awaited June 18th release date having come and gone, J. Cole, as a number of other artists do, hit up a nearby Best Buy and purchased copies of his latest album. Hitting the electronic store with Drake, the two emcees also made sure to stock up on a couple other albums while out in New York City, and completely clear the shelf of both the standard and deluxe version of Cole's Born Sinner LP. Check out the footage up above, and for those who still need to grab their own personal copies, be sure to do so now by clicking here. Enjoy.
