Jennifer Hudson suffers food poisoning

Jennifer Hudson was all smiles in the photo above during her performance at ABC's "Good Morning America Summer Concert Series" on Friday, but that soon changed. A rep for the Academy Award-winning singer confirmed that Hudson fell ill and was taken to a New York City hospital. [Read More]

“After performing on ‘Good Morning America’ earlier today, Jennifer Hudson went to the hospital due to severe abdominal pains," the rep said in a statement. "She was treated for food poisoning and released.”

 

Hudson performed in Central Park’s Rumsey Playfield for "GMA" before she got sick, but a second performance slated for CBS' "Early Show" had to be canceled. The newly svelte Hudson has been promoting her new album, "I Remember Me" which features the debut single "Where You At."
