
Apparently, Roc-A-Fella agreed to pay Walker $3,500 for the design and entitlement to 2% royalties from all products that carry the design until 2015. According to the lawsuit, the royalties currently total $7 million.

"The logo has become universally recognized as an iconic symbol of Jay-Z, one of the most successful recording artists in the history of popular music," the suit states. Walker may not have a strong case as the record label may technically own the rights to the design. Jay-Z is yet to respond to the lawsuit.
