Los Angeles Lakers rookie Derrick Caracter was arrested early Sunday morning near the team hotel in New Orleans after a Game 4 loss to the Hornets, the Los Angeles Times reports. The 22-year-old got into an alleged altercation and was charged with battery.

Caracter was selected by the Lakers in the second round of the 2010 NBA draft. He played in 41 games this season, averaging two points and one rebound. No details of the incident have been released. Story developing..
