Video: Ron Artest Elbows James Harden

In the second quarter of today’s Thunder-Lakers game, the moment I’d been waiting all season for arrived. Metta World Peace, the artist formerly known as Ron Artest, gave OKC’s James Harden an elbow to the head that will surely rank among his greatest hits once his bizarre career ends.

This is pure, vintage Ron Artest material. The has a nice drive to the basket in transition to ignite the crowd and bring the Lakers within one, and then, straight out of WWE, the mid-celebration People’s Elbow to Harden’s dome. No amount of Rick Ross-esque beard was going to soften that blow. he ‘bow earned Metta a Flagrant two, meaning an automatic ejection from the game. Magic Johnson suggested during halftime that a two game suspension would be fair, but I’m advocating a crackdown on World Peace by David Stern.

Coming into this NBA season, we had just one question on our minds. No, it wasn't "Where will Chris Paul be traded"? Or, "Will Dwight Howard ask the Magic to move him"? Or even, "Can LeBron James finally win an NBA championship"?

No, no. It was "How freakin' awesome is Ron Artest's Metta World Peace jersey going to look?!" [Read More]

Forget trying to get Kobe Bryant more open shots or figuring out a way to handcuff Dirk Nowitzki on D. Snoop Dogg knows exactly what the Lakers need to do to become a better team: Make Pau Gasol tougher! His solution? Get Ron Artest and Lamar Odom to take the Spaniard to NYC's Rucker Park to "get sum hood n his game."

"We vulnerable w him playn that soft!!" he tweeted yesterday. No offense, Snoop, but Ron-Ron might not be the guy you want to turn to for help right now. Just sayin'.
